13steps.com - Get to know me.
Macho, faggy, manic, geeky, smart-ass, opinionated. I have a small circle of friends and find solace in the company of other 'odd' individuals. Psuedo-Movie buff, addicted to music, learning to sing, probably judging you right now. There's a pretty good chance that I'm not deep enough for a lot of people on this site and am sure to be ignored by some because my favorite bands are not totally obscure.
I relocated to San Francisco on April 1, 2006. I adore this city, so far. I work for a wonderful company, surrounded by wonderful people. I plan on starting school soon because I need a piece of paper that says that I'm good enough at something to be employed and paid for my time.
I'm quite upbeat and optimistic. I do, however, tend to be cynical and exhibit absolutely no tact or delicacy when approached by someone of dubious character. I'm critical and will call you out. I'm forgiving if your folly is innocent and I make it a point to be polite and considerate until given a reason to be otherwise.
I have yet to attend college and spent 'those years' [in regards to the college age-range] working, playing, and getting to know a handful of the human race.
I write from time to time, enjoy live music [mostly local], dabble in graphic-design, read, sing, work-out, play video games [when I can], watch movies, and enjoy good wine and beer [that I can afford.]
I'd have to say that my favorite thing in life is to make people laugh. Nothing feels as good as that to me. [shit, that was a bit mushy, wasn't it?]
I enjoy subtlety in fashion, architecture, interior design, and most forms of art.
I aspire to leave this country to live amongst a more informed populace. Within four years, I shall move to New Zealand, Australia, or England. My motivations for such a change in scenery should be pretty obvious. I have no interest in contributing to the 'revolution.' I am not confident that this country will, within my lifetime, fix itself. The US is an empire and it will fall on its own. I plan on being on a different continent when it does. I'm sickened by what we've allowed to happen in this country and yearn to be out of reach of the maniacs who control it. Who's coming with me [other than the goldfish]? [hey, a movie-reference! go me]
